My Five Senses

Here are a few things tickling my five sense recently...

Look: I have been looking at new houses. I am on a moving kick...like I want to move ASAP. Mark says within the year, I say within the next 2 weeks..haha! Im just over our neighborhood and people not taking care of their property. We will see who wins this battle (probably Mark)

Listen: I have been making fun of Mark for buying and learning every word to the new Zac Brown Band CD, but I have to admit...it is a really good CD. I went ahead and purchased it and have been jamming out in my car.

Check out this one!

Feel: With this heat wave and feeling so hot and muggy,  I have been dreaming of Fall, my favorite season. I have seen some fall decor. ON my list already is a cable knit throw for the bedrooms. These just look like they feel so warm and cozy.

Also, my skin has been drawn to my attention. I hardly ever wash my face outside of the shower because I never have had issues, but I'm starting to notice some fine lines and a few more zits. BOO! So I saved some money and used a coupon and store credit to purchase the clarisonic Mia cleaning tool. I must admit it is making my skin feel fabulous. Soft, clean, and fresh. I am loving it.

Taste: The best part about summer is the fruit. Living on strawberries, blueberries, watermelon and fresh peaches. Leah loves them all as well.

Also I have been eating BLT's like they are going out of style. Something about the summer tomatoes just make me drool!!!

Smell: I just loaded up on my favorite candles from Anthropologie...they smell so good, very feminine but not overpowering. A must for our home.

3 Years of Wedded Bliss...

Mark and I celebrate 3 years today. It sure goes by fast. We celebrated on Sunday. We went to brunch, shopping, movie, and then dinner. It was nice to spend the entire day together without our little peanut. Those days have been few and far between. We really got to reconnect and both agreed we have put each other aside since Leah has been born. Marks job is crazy, I am thinking of Leah 24/7 and our relationship has taken a back seat. I think this is somewhat common, but I miss him. We brainstormed a few ways we can work on this. In the end our marriage is built on love and honesty and that is a pretty good foundation to help us "survive" the times when life can be overwhelming. I love looking at our wedding pictures and how happy we are. Here is to another great year!

Current Wishes...

At a loss for anything to blog about, life is pretty boring around here. In my Internet browsing I put together a current wish list...whatever gets me through this lack of motivation...

Hawaii

A nice long trip to a sandy beach....well anywhere. This family is need of a vacation. Mark's job limits this so much, BUT we do have a 4 day trip to Lake Michigan in August with my family. Hoping Mark gets the time off.

Wishing I could feel this happy about needing to tweak my diet and increase my exercise. Is anyone this happy about? I know a few people, but I don't like them :)

This bag from Fossil...I would take one in every color. Wouldn't this look great packed for a weekend away? Swooning....

I wouldn't mind a shopping spree here. I don't want need Pottery Barn....this would be just fine...Planning on how to update this house and picking up a few extra shifts...unlimited funds here? yes please!

Alright thats all for now.... :)

It's Official...

Leah is crawling! She is officially mobile. We have been waiting for a few weeks as she has been so close, but she finally got the hang of it. And after just a week she has already doubled her speed and increasingly interested in "things" she never knew existed before in our non child proof home. The best part is that I will be in the kitchen and look down and she will be right there. I secretly adore the fact she follows me around but I am sure that will get old quick! Watching a child develop right before your eyes is pretty dag on cool! Go Leah!
