Birthday Recap

I celebrated my 25th Birthday on Saturday. I had a wonderful weekend and turning 25 wasn't as bad as I thought! HA! Mark got together some of our good friends for dinner at Bravo on Friday night and then we had people back at our house after for cards and drinks. We met my parents for brunch Saturday morning with my Matt, Lauren, Lillian and Diana. Marks mom and sister were there as well. I had a baby shower for Heather (my sister in law). It was a busy couple of days, but overall was a lot of fun. Saturday night Mark and I just hung out and nested...just what I wanted! I am so blessed with a wonderful husband, family and friends! Thanks everyone!

PS I took no pictures this weekend...bummer!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy Early Birthday to Me!

Well Mark tried to surprise for my birthday, but when I beat him home yesterday I saw tons of packages on the front door step, and one of the boxes was labled "CRICUT" WHOOO HOO!! He listened to me! I mentioned this a few weeks ago and there it was on my doorstep...I am so excited. I have to admit, I really have no idea how to use this, BUT i have seen the potential and it excites me! I am not very artsy fartsy, I can be creative but my projects never come out how I envisioned them! So I'm looking forward to learning how to use it!

Secrets Of Adulthood

I got this from the author of the book "The Happiness Project" Gretchen Rubin, it is a list of her secrets of adulthood.... Enjoy!

Secrets of Adulthood
•The best reading is re-reading.
•Outer order contributes to inner calm.
•The opposite of a great truth is also true.
•You manage what you measure.
•By doing a little bit each day, you can get a lot accomplished.
•People don’t notice your mistakes and flaws as much as you think.
•It's nice to have plenty of money.
•Most decisions don't require extensive research.
•Try not to let yourself get too hungry.
•Even if you think they're fake, it's nice to celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day.
•If you can't find something, clean up.
•The days are long, but the years are short.
•Someplace, keep an empty shelf.
•Turning the computer on and off a few times often fixes a glitch.
•It's okay to ask for help.
•You can choose what you do; you can't choose what you LIKE to do.
•Happiness doesn't always make you feel happy.
•What you do EVERY DAY matters more than what you do ONCE IN A WHILE.
•You don't have to be good at everything.
•Soap and water removes most stains.
•It's important to be nice to EVERYONE.
•You know as much as most people.
•Over-the-counter medicines are very effective.
•Eat better, eat less, exercise more.
•What's fun for other people may not be fun for you--and vice versa.
•People actually prefer that you buy wedding gifts off their registry.
•Houseplants and photo albums are a lot of trouble.
•If you're not failing, you're not trying hard enough.
•No deposit, no return.

Book Review x 2

Twilight and New Moon- by Stephenie Meyer

So I just finished reading book 2 of the Twilight series. I have put off these books for a couple reasons. First, I never really got into Harry Potter and I am clumped these books in that category and second if on the off chance I loved the books I wanted to make sure I had the time to really read them. So 2 weeks I finished my last book on my Kindle and decided I needed a change in my recent reading genre...I went for Twilight! I am so glad I waited until I had the time...at first I thought " I mean it is good, but I am not addicted" Now after reading the second one and seeing the first movie, it is safe to say I REALLY LOVE these books, I am starting the 3rd one this week. It is just a nice change of pace in fantasy land. If you haven't read them, wait until the time is right and then pick them up! If you have read them all I have to say is I LOVE Edward...haha!
