2013 Goals

So we are half way through January and I'm finally getting around to blogging about what I would like to focus on this year. I have been thinking about it since the new year, just haven't had a chance to get it all down. They are not so much resolutions as just things I would like to get done or focus my thinking on. So here goes...

1. Organize all the photos on my computer, get rid of the "bad" ones,  and back up them all up to our external hard drive
2. Print out some of those photos I organized and put them in our photo albums I got for Project Life
3. Start Leah and Blake's memory boxes. I have stuff I kept from Leah's 1st year that needs to be all put together and stored away. Start Blake's as well.
4. Tackle my reading list (which will be another post)
5. Get my non maternity clothes fitting the way they should= not so much about a number on the scale, but working on my nutrition and exercise.
6. Do better at carving out time for myself. Whether it is on the form of working out, time with girlfriends, or pampering myself. Time for myself is crucial, but something I struggled with after having Leah as I hated leaving her,
7. Continue waking up early, before the kids are up. Gives me time to enjoy my coffee, have some reflection time and plan my day before the chaos begins.
8. Make more of an effort to have regular date nights. This involves finding a sitter who can come to our house as well as planning them. Mark and I need to come before anything else and we both struggle with this at times.  Every time we have a date night I am reminded about how much fun he is and we are. My only hope is to not end up pregnant after one of these :)
9. Volunteer or get involved with one group in our church. I have a few ideas, more info to come.
10. HAVE FUN!

So you can see I have a variety of goals for the year, some simple, some complex. Personal growth is always something I like to be doing and its time to ease up on using the kids as an "excuse" I just need to kick myself in the butt and get going! (Best thing my 90 year old Grammy ever taught me) Here we go....
